The discussion has begun. CAPACOA is leading a discussion on Online ticket sale, resale and group sale as part of CHRC's study on the Impact of Emerging Digital Technologies on the Cultural Sector.

We hope that this online discussion will be a good opportunity for performing arts presenters to talk about their concerns regarding the business practices of some service providers and to consider the potential of new avenues such as online group sale. We also hope that this discussion will provide us with arguments for better legislation against online scalping and for fair competition in the area of online ticket sales.

This online discussion is currently taking place on this web page and will be going on until the end of the study.

Presenters, artists, agents and other stakeholders can participate in two ways:

• Publish a comment on the opening post or on other participants’ comments (account creation and login required) in either English or French;
• Cast a like / dislike vote on the comments (no login required).
