October 17, 2012 - CAPACOA successfully held its Annual General Meeting using Adobe Connect web conferencing technology and two new members were elected to the Board of Directors.
Heather Gibson (In the Dead of Winter, Halifax Jazz Festival and KHG Management Inc) and Margo Kane (Full Circle: First Nations Performance) were elected for a first term to the Board of Directors and six other directors were reelected for successive terms. The CAPACOA Board of Directors is now comprised of 8 presenter members, 4 business members and 2 network members.
On the technical side of things, in spite of a few sound issues at the beginning of the AGM, the Adobe Connect technology proved useful in allowing members to make their voices heard and in handling votes according to assembly procedures.
