Webinar on the Anti-Spam Legislation

April 3, 2014 - On Wednesday, April 23, Orchestras Canada (in collaboration with a number of other performing arts service organizations) presents a free webinar on Canada's new Anti-Spam Legislation, as it applies to performing arts charities.

In this fast-paced webinar, lawyer Ryan Prendergast of Carter's Professional Corporation. will highlight what charitable performing arts organizations need to know about the new legislation before it comes into effect July 1, 2014. He will cover the following topics:

  • What electronic messages does the Anti-spam Legislation apply to?
  • What are the consequences for non-compliance with the Anti-spam Legislation?
  • What exemptions are available to charities?
  • How should charities prepare for the new legislation?

If your organization uses email to communicate with past, current and prospective audience members, and donors, you need to understand the implications of the new legislation, and what you'll need to do to prepare.

To participate, you'll need access to a computer with a stable, high speed internet connection and either speakers (internal or external) or a headphone. Sign up online!
